Join us to see where Norway is heading!
Doors open at 8pm. Monday 11 Sept is one of the most contested elections in a long time in Norway. Polls are shifting every second day. It is a matter of two different societal systems – a very red or very blue government. Club Diplomatique at International House and Oslo International Club - with partners - are inviting you to a party-neutral election night.
PRACTICALITIES:
*Doors open at 8pm.
*Food and drinks for sale. Obligatory to RSVP to be put on the guest list:
*Evening moderator: Jørn Lein-Mathisen, parliamentary advisor of Erna Solberg during her last ministerial period
*Comments from current and previous party politicians from both sides of politics. Confirmed comments during the evening include: Jørund Rytman, MP Frp/Progress party, more confirmations during the weekend.
*Invited: ClubDiplomatique at International House, Oslo International Club - and our partner networks of internationals
Why this event?
Several in the Diplomatic community have asked today Thurs if we can do an election night special – as there are very few neutral election night events going on in Oslo – and NONE in ENGLISH??? An MP commented that it is rather funny, you have 15 languages for all info about how to vote, but only Norwegian for the events actually following the results coming in.
*Organisors: Club Diplomatique at International House, Oslo International Club, Professional Women's Network, Oslo International Rotary Club, NewToOslo, ANSAalumni, several bilateral Chambers of Commerce - India, Nigeria, Lithuania, Israel, Colombia [providing music!] and more chambers
